Content and focus of the degree programme:

The master's program in “International Business & Law” offers specializations in Digital Business and International Human Resource Management as well as highly relevant courses in Strategy, Mergers & Acquistions, International Accounting & Finance and Business & Digital Law. Courses generally take place from Wednesday afternoon to Saturday afternoon. This “job-friendly” teaching schedule allows students to continue with their professional activities during their studies.

Definition of the field of studies

The degree programme in International Business & Law deals with the interdependence between national and international markets and the complexity of transnational entrepreneurship at the interface between economics and law. The current trend towards digitalization poses major challenges for business practices and different areas of law. Graduates of the master's program should also be prepared to cope with these challenges in a professional manner.

Exams

The master’s program lasts four semesters and includes the following subjects: Strategic Management (International & Advanced Strategic Management), International Political Economy (Global Economic Framework), Digital Business, Marketing & Branding (Fundamentals of Digital Management, International Marketing), Business Law (International & European Business Law, Intellectual Property, Product Liability, Competition Law, Business Ethics), International Accounting, Controlling & Finance (International Taxation, Risk Management), International Human Resource Management (Personnel Management, European Labor Law). In their third semester students have the possibility to study abroad at a foreign partner university. At the end of their studies students have to compile a master's thesis and successfully complete a master's examination in front of a commission.

Entrance examinations

The prerequisite for admission to this programme is a completed bachelor's degree or a post-secondary degree in one of the following disciplines: Strategic Management / Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, Controlling / Accounting and Law (totalling a minimum of 120 ECTS credits).
