Bachelor’s programme InterMedia

Content and focus of the degree programme:

The bachelor's programme lasts six semesters and includes the following subjects: design: form, colour, spatial design:, typography, colour, visualising, theory and history of design (1st semester); fundamentals of typography and layout, fundamentals of photography, writing and editing skills, media psychology (2nd semester); design of interactive systems, fundamentals of video production, marketing communication, management of media projects (3rd semester); interdisciplinary media production, models of best practice in design, media ethics, media informatics: media distribution (4th semester); media coverage, methods of scientific research, English 5: meetings and discussions (5th semester); intermedia production, applied media law, basics of media calculation (6th semester). A study period abroad at one of the international partner universities in the 4th semester is recommended. The students have to complete an internship in the field of media production (profit or non-profit sector) of ten weeks in Austria or abroad. They also have to write two bachelor's theses.
