Bachelor’s programme High Tech Manufacturing

Content and focus of the degree programme:

This study programme is only available in German.

The degree programme is strongly project-oriented and practically oriented. The full life cycle of a product from design to implementation is taken into account. Students will, for instance, design a racing car, be responsible for its manufacture and drive it themselves in races - e.g. in the international Formula Student construction competition of the Society of Automotive Engineers. The possibilities and potentials of 3D printing are a salient High Tech Manufacturing topic. A project combining computer tomography with 3D printing is currently running in the Radiology section. A special programme scans parts of the body and the three dimensional data is then analysed to manufacture plastic models for mouth, jaw and facial surgery by means of a 3D printer.
