Content and focus of the degree programme:

Sustainable, secure and affordable supply of energy is one of the basic requirements for the functioning of our modern society. Whether it is the development of smart grids, sustainable and energetic development of cities (smart cities), increased introduction of resource-efficient technologies for energy generation and storage or energetic optimisation of manufacturing processes – in all of them information technologies increasingly act as key technologies. The degree programme in Energy Informatics not only imparts the technological aspects but also knowledge of relevant market processes and the legal framework conditions.
