Content and focus of the degree programme:

The bachelor’s degree programme in Mechatronics, Design & Innovation is a full-time degree programme with numerous elective options and international components. A compulsory work placement and practical training as well as co-operative final papers with companies make it particularly easy to enter the world of work. In the first year of study the students in the bachelor's programme in Mechatronics, Design & Innovation will acquire basic knowledge in engineering sciences such as mathematics, engineering physics, engineering mechanics, materials engineering, electronical engineering, computer science. From the 2nd semester onwards the students have the opportunity to choose between numerous innovative elective modules and explore interdisciplinary disciplines such as digital and measurement technology, automation, electrical drives and dynamics. Special emphasis is put on mechatronics subjects such as control engineering, embedded systems and robotics as well as on technologies of the future such as e-mobility, data science and the Internet of Things. Besides technical components the curriculum also includes foreign languages, management and entrepreneurship.
