Work in companies of the mechatronics industry has changed enormously because of the increasingly dynamic and complex business environment. The need for industrial engineers with interdisciplinary skills is growing continuously. This degree programme aims to meet this need by offering a higher qualification in selected fields of Mechatronics and Business Economics and also development and management competence. Graduates are employed in the management of project teams in the fields of engineering and product development as well as in the management of production and manufacturing units. In addition, quality assurance, quality management, technical process planning as well as sales and marketing in industrial goods companies are further areas in which graduates work. Thanks to their interdisciplinary expertise, graduates are able to act in a market- and customer-oriented manner and can also professionally assess technical tasks in terms of their economic impact on costs, earnings, financial and performance indicators.
