Bachelor’s programme Philosophy, Politics and Economics

Content and focus of the degree programme:

The bachelor's degree course in Philosophy, Politics and Economics is based on the observation that the pressing issues of our society – such as globalisation, climate change or inequality – increasingly need interdisciplinary approaches and perspectives. The degree course in PPE accounts for this demand by ensuring that the disciplines involved – philosophy, political science and economics – are not regarded as separate disciplines. Rather, they interlock in an interdisciplinary programme. The focus is on imparting methodological skills. Thereby the students will acquire a comprehensive qualification that allows them to approach problems in a fundamental and analytical way.
