The joint master's programme in Urban Studies focuses on European urban societies and spaces in its application-oriented teaching. By learning relevant and advanced social science methods the students will be equipped with the necessary tools to analyse and evaluate urban transformation processes. Moreover, theoretical approaches to urban geography and transdisciplinary research are taught by an international and interdisciplinary group of professors. The students will learn to develop solutions for urban problems and get familiar with the principles of scientific policy advice. Individual and group work enables the students to independently prepare project work, study in multidisciplinary and international teams and get to know the technical language of the other disciplines and practise intercultural communication.
