Master’s programme Archaeological Studies

Content and focus of the degree programme:

This study programme is only available in German.


Beside practice-oriented teaching – preparation, prospection, organisation, direction and carrying out of archaeological excavations and research projects, the autonomous handling of archaeological find complexes, the compilation of scientific manuscripts and master copies for public relations activities – the theoretical basics and the interdisciplinary, e.g. natural sciences methods, which are necessary especially for the analysis of archaeological finds, are also taught. Modern electronic data collection and analysis procedures as well as current research methods are used.
