Master’s programme Performative and Intermedial Musicology and Dance Studies

Content and focus of the degree programme:

This study programme is only available in German.

The interdisciplinary master's degree course in Performative and Intermedial Musicology and Dance Studies provides in-depth, research-orientated studies of the individual subjects of Musicology and Dance Studies as well as an introduction to the two disciplines. The students will examine the historical, intermedia and performative-artistic perspectives of music and dance, which consist of the three axes of the course (scene – media – transdisciplinarity). A broad concept of music and dance provides the basis on which methods specific to the discipline are contrasted against and expanded by approaches taken from other fields of the humanities as well as from social and cultural studies.
