Bachelor’s programme Philosophy

Content and focus of the degree programme:

This study programme is only available in German.

The degree course in Philosophy deals with traditional problems of philosophy, new questions from the sciences and current questions regarding moral principles and responsibility. Traditional philosophical problems are, amongst others, the difference between knowing and believing, the boundary between right and wrong, and the problem of free will. More recent questions from the sciences dealt with by philosophy are, for example: What exactly does natural selection mean? Which statistical methods are suited best for which purposes in the sciences? All these problems challenge us to define conceptions precisely, to reflect on methods, and to develop a more concise notion of our ideals.
