The doctoral programme in Law builds on the theoretical knowledge that the students have acquired in their traditional degree programme (Diplomstudium) in Law. Doctoral students will deepen their knowledge of specific subjects and bring their research methods to perfection. They will learn how to conduct academic research autonomously and how to contribute to the learning of their special field. The dissertation serves as an evidence of doctoral students’ autonomous academic achievement.
