Bachelor’s programme Biomedical Science

Biomedical science examines medical samples, interprets laboratory measurements and establishes a connection between laboratory diagnostic results and clinical pictures. Biomedical scientists have a variety of methods and innovative technologies at their disposal to measure different values and functions such as blood parameters or lung function. Students will apply them in complex laboratory analysis processes and evaluate them. In addition to intensive laboratory work students will also interact with patients, for example when taking samples or performing clinical diagnostics. The practically oriented degree program combines technological know-how with quality and process management. Students will be educated in the core disciplines of histology, hematology, microbiology and clinical chemistry.
