Master’s programme Molecular Medicine

Content and focus of the degree programme:

The 4-semester master’s degree programme in Molecular Medicine offers a research-oriented education that is essentially oriented towards the Medical University's focus areas in medicine. The programme consists of compulsory modules (introductory courses in biomedicine, oncosciences, infection and immunity, neurosciences) and elective modules (genetics-epigenetics-genomics, bioinformatics, structural biology, molecular diagnostics, molecular cell biology). The 4th semester is reserved entirely for writing your master’s thesis. Graduates of this degree programme, which, in Austria, is offered exclusively at the Medical University of Innsbruck, will have a first-class education that prepares them both for highly qualified occupatons in industry and for PhD studies.
