Bachelor’s programme Speech and Language Therapy

Content and focus of the degree programme:

This study programme is only available in German.

In the speech therapy programme the students will acquire a broad range of subject-specific skills, methodological skills and interprofessional skills as well as social and communicative skills. In addition to imparting extensive theoretical content theory-to-practice transfer takes place in the courses so that the students can continuously develop the skills they need as of the beginning of their studies. Introductory basic lectures in anatomy and physiology as well as linguistics form the basis for more advanced topics. These include audiology, phoniatrics, neurology and numerous speech therapy-specific and scientific courses. Equipped with these skills the students have the opportunity to deepen their skills in practice: in the SkillsLabs of the speech therapy degree programme, which are unique in Austria.
