The nursing science doctoral programme, with a designated focus on gerontology, gives doctoral students an opportunity to reinforce and deepen their research work in nursing education, care management, advanced nursing practice, demographic developments, age and ageing. Points of departure can be found in the research areas of the Department for Nursing Science and Gerontology: population ageing and individual ageing processes; gerontological health, nursing and care; nursing intervention and nursing quality; innovative care concepts; palliative care and hospice services; ethical issues in health and nursing care.
