Overall the eco design approach seeks a balance between economic requirements and ecological consideration. Demands of customers, positions of competitors, expectations of the society, legal requirements and (environmental) and technological possibilities play a big role in this. Ideally a comprehensive collection of data for an environmentally friendly product design or redesign should take place at a very early innovation stage. In this master’s programme the students will learn all the important aspects of material sciences and process engineering as far as technology/natural sciences are concerned. The product development phases of innovation, design and planning as well as construction deal with ecological product development in a detailed way.
