The master's programme in Material Sciences provides a broad and fundamental education in the field of scientific basics of materials as well as their manufacture, examination, characterisation and application. Relevant skills from the faculties of Physics, Technical Chemistry, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Mathematics & Geo-information, Mechanical & Industrial Engineering and Electrical Engineering & Information Technology are brought together into an inter-faculty programme offering a comprehensive interdisciplinary education in the principles and applications of materials. Graduates of this programme will have the opportunity to work in material processing, modelling of technological systems and consultancy in technical and scientific fields.
