Content and focus of the degree programme:

The degree programmes in Mathematics at the University of Vienna offer an academic education of high quality, preparing students for a career in research, economics, administration and technology. As central elements of this education the students will learn mathematical ways of thinking and acquire the ability to solve mathematical questions in theory and practice. The master's programme in Mathematics is oriented towards the current state of international research. The graduates will learn mathematical methodology and gain expert knowledge first-hand and they will be educated in a special field of study that is close to current research.
