Master’s programme ESS – Sustainability and Innovation Management (E)

Content and focus of the degree programme:

Graduates of the master’s degree programme in Environmental Systems Science, which is a degree programme in the social and economic sciences, will expand the sound specialist knowledge of their specialisation (in business administration) acquired in their bachelor's degree programme by deepening their knowledge and carrying out independent research work. The specialisation subject Management is strongly research-oriented, it enhances the ability to work scientifically and, in particular, fosters a methodically correct approach to problem solving. At the same time it also provides the basis for solving practical business tasks. The degree programme provides academic training for senior specialists and managerial positions as well as for independent entrepreneurship in various fields of application in the private, public and semi-public sectors. The major in economics provides, on one hand, an in-depth and above all research-oriented education in economics and, on the other hand, the prerequisite for scientific work on interdisciplinary environmental and resource economic problems.
