In the teacher training programme in Geography and Economics the students will acquire skills in the fields of geography in the context of natural sciences and of social sciences. Geography in the context of natural sciences deals with topics such as ecosystems, landscape-related ecological contexts and climate (change) while topics such as migration and demographic change are part of geography in the context of social sciences. The focus of the teacher training programme in Geography and Economics is on linking everyday problems and subject-specific concepts. From the very beginning the students will learn how to prepare the content they have learned for teaching at secondary schools in the best possible way.
