In the teacher training bachelor's degree programme in Mathematics great importance will be attached to adapting the subject-related part of the training to the professional requirements of future teachers in addition to a solid mathematics education. Upon completing the programme the graduates will be able to teach mathematics in a way that is comprehensible and understandable for the pupils. The qualification profile includes: knowledge of mathematics; confident use of mathematical reasoning; familiarity with mathematical modelling; knowledge of the application relevance of mathematics; ability to use new digital technologies in the classroom; knowledge of the requirements of the curriculum, educational standards and basic skills; knowledge of didactic concepts for teaching mathematical content as well as tasks for teaching; knowledge of basic subject-didactic and empirical research methods.
