The teacher training programme in "Exercise and Sports" primarily trains students to teach exercise and sports at all types of schools at secondary level I and II. Moreover, the study programme is suitable for all pedagogically oriented occupational fields in the context of exercise and sports. The programme is characterised by its sound theoretical and practical approach. The students will acquire subject-specific knowledge in areas relevant to the subject of exercise and sports, such as sports education, sports psychology, sports ecology, sports sociology, sports biology, kinesiology, biomechanics and training theory. This knowledge will be applied to the subject areas of health, performance and competition, games and design, social learning, daring and experience, safety and risk management as well as diversity issues and it will be applied and deepened in a competence-oriented manner in practical and didactic courses.
