In addition to educational science, didactics, subject-specific and practical school content as well as content from the location-specific focus areas, the primary school teacher training program also provides knowledge in the areas of self-reflective, professionally-oriented personal development and the strengthening of self, social and system competence. Teachers at primary level (elementary school) accompany and support children in the first school years until they move on to secondary school. As a rule, they teach all subjects (except religion). In addition to teaching the content of the elementary school curriculum, teachers also take on educational and administrative tasks.
