Graduates of the doctoral programme will have the following qualifications: Excellent knowledge in one of the scientific subjects that are available at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Salzburg as a single subject, as a field or as a component of interdisciplinary research. Doctoral students will learn how to apply research methods of their academic field adequately and how to work with relevant research questions autonomously, thereby making a significant contribution to learning in their respective field. Furthermore, they will acquire a capacity for innovation, the ability to critically analyse and evaluate scientific discourses as well as scientific integrity in developing new ideas or methods in the context of research or teaching.
